As president of the Premiers Technology Council, Greg brings to this role experience as a successful technology entrepreneur. He has founded and invested in several BC tech companies and sold the first company he founded to a NASDAQ corporation. After graduating from the Royal Military College of Canada as a Fuels and Material Engineer, Greg worked as an Aerospace Engineering Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force and then as an Airworthiness Inspector and Superintendent for the Canadian Federal Government. He was technical architect for TELUS’s initial digital initiatives including TelusTV and the technology lead for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics bid. He served as CEO and Board Chair of VIATEC, the Vancouver Island accelerator and co-founded a big data, cloud based analytics company. Prior to his current position, Greg spent three years as the CEO of a Provincial Crown Agency responsible for economic development of Technology and Innovation, the BC Innovation Council. He is very familiar with most aspects of technology in the province and strongly believes in the positive impact it can have on our lives and on the future of our children.
